Maybe I know somewhere deep in my soul that love never lasts; and we’ve got to find other ways to make it alone, but keep a straight face. And I’ve always lived like this… keeping it comfortable… distance. And up until now I had sworn to myself that I’m content… with loneliness. Because none of it was ever worth the risk! You are the only exception.

The Love Song: None of us have ever known of love without song. Our chance meetings, first kisses, and broken hearts have all been trapped inside of the notes of numerous melodies. Whether sad or sweet we all turn the radio up when we stumble upon that song; that song that reminds us of that person, of that time, and that kiss. Beautiful notes combine to make beautiful music, and it’s almost as beautiful as her.

There are those love songs that remind us of how it all began. They act like the introductory pages of an epic tale. Songs that contain cryptic meanings and hidden messages; references to stolen kisses and late night smiles, (you know the ones? When you wake up together, [for a moment,] just to see them lying next to you).

There are those loves songs that make us laugh and think about the good times. Whether it be those endless conversations that flowed over into dawn, or road trips that were scored with laughter there are ballads that bring them all back. Songs that have us singing, dancing, and smiling; animated like lovers in a Magic Kingdom.

Then there are those love songs that break our fragile hearts. These are the worst, but they are played more often then any other. When it’s too hard to speak, too painful to cry, music becomes our voice. The funny thing is whether the tune is depressing or the lyrics angry all we really feel is alone. What we were too scared to say, what we were too late to explain, sits inside someone else’s lyrics… and it tears us apart.

The Love Song: whether it is a Beatles classic or a current chart-topping tune it matters not. Whether it overwhelms you with bliss or leads you to tears the truth remains the same… you love her and a simple song describes how profound that is.

I thought you would like that song. It’s funny because when I write a love blog I listen to a lot of music. This love blog is about music… and of all the songs I listened to and wanted tot talk about, I just felt the need to include some Disney ;)

      Thx Bri-Bri.

These, more then any, come from the heart. I mean every word, I only wish at time I said it all sooner.

Good job Jon, and for me that would be: the song that made him grab my attention by Mario “Let Me Love You”; “Goodbye, my Lover” by James Blunt as my lowest point, and the song that he crept back in with “Baby Don’t Go” by Fabolous.

I drowned myself in the songs, and its funny how much more you listen to all the lyrics and they literally feel like you are living them – but I also made sure to listen to “Independent Women” A LOT! ;) just sayin…

HAHAHAHA! Yes, I would say that the two included are important ones… and there is “Can’t Be Friends — Trey Songz” as my darkest moment. I think the one that gets me going a lot on my single grind is “Curren$y – King Kong.” However, I would rather listen to “Usher – Mars Vs Venus” again any day.

Thx for commenting… that was awesome. You and Tony are amazing together ;) You guys are one of the many inspirational stories in my life.
