Mic Check YYZ Pt. 5

The Accessory Bar: When it comes to shopping I’m a traditionalist. Though I’m always connected I rarely buy my clothes online. This can be problematic however. Brands like Diamond Supply Co. and Goodwood NYC are not all that readily available. That was until I stumbled into “The Accessory Bar.”

Located on 350 Yonge Street, (just South of Gerrard) rests a boutique beyond words. Sure it’s small, but with plans to grow into the second story, The Accessory Bar has a bright future ahead of its self. They are stocked with brands like those above as well as The Hundreds, Nixon, G-Shock, and 9Five. Their list is ever expansive, and the latest entry? The ever illustrious Supreme!

I just bought a beautiful necklace of Mary’s Sacred Heart there, and I hope to return for some Herschel Supply Co. Oh, and the future snap backs racks and custom CN Tower Goodwood piece. It’s an easy place to unload money, and the service is incredible. Check it out and let me know!

D-Sisive: Though he has been active for more than a decade, I didn’t hear his work until a week ago. That’s not a diss however, just a fact. Confusion aside I’m certainly impressed with his collection. Three EP’s and four albums already under his belt… I can see why he’s so comfortable with mic control. Plus his pen game is proper. He’s collaborated with many national treasures, including: Moka Only, Shad, Classified, and Buck 65. To be honest, I think he is better than them all.

Sure he’s awkward to look at, but he’s openly unattractive. His style suggests his humor and wit, making it easy to catch the same in his lyrics. He’s hungry, vulgar, and experimental. His current album, (Jonestown 2: Jimmy Go Bye Bye) is an outstanding endeavor with a ton of local lingo, and it’s free! Grab it HERE, and of course, let me know ;)

D-sisive is dope. Justin introduced me to his shit a few years back. He’s a huge fan as well. Definitely a great lyricist. As for the accessory bar, I’m definitely in need of a trip. It looks amazing! Great continuation on a very strong series. Holla!

Roger that. It’s been too long since I’ve dropped some notes downtown.
